Overview

Grant of up to $45,000 for Quebec agri-business owners aged 18 to 39 who have qualified for the Financial Support Program for Aspiring Farmers in the last 5 years and who secure a loan guarantee of up to $300,000 from La Financière agricole, for on-farm agri-environmental projects or projects enhancing the value of cultivated land.

Who can apply

  • Must be 18 to 39 years old, own an agri-business in Quebec, and have qualified for the Financial Support Program for Aspiring Farmers in the last 5 years
  • must secure a loan guarantee of up to $300,000 from La Financière agricole.
  • Project must increase production volume, performance or profitability, comply with animal welfare and/or organic production standards or new agri-food requirements, improve land under cultivation, and adopt agri-environmental practices.
