Overview

Funding to support agriculture projects in the Northwest Territories that help the sector grow stronger, more innovative, resilient, and better able to adapt to challenges. Streams include commercial agriculture and agri-food development, diversity and extension, community food production, agri-environmental planning, the Resilient Agriculture Landscape Program, market development, and northern agriculture and agri-food research.

Who can apply

  • Businesses established and operating in the NWT for at least one year
  • agricultural producers or food processors
  • properly registered as sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation
  • operating commercial farms or processing facilities or able to demonstrate viability with a business plan.
  • Non-profit organizations must be registered in the NWT and in good standing with the Registrar of Societies.
