Nutrition North Canada retail subsidy program

Subsidy program providing access to subsidies for residents in isolated northern communities, small northern retailers, suppliers, food banks, charitable organizations and local growers. Registered retailers and suppliers can claim the subsidy on eligible items shipped to or grown in eligible communities, increasing access to donated and locally produced foods.

• Must register with Nutrition North Canada as a northern retailer, supplier, food bank, charitable organization or local grower serving/located in eligible isolated northern communities
• residents may also benefit by buying eligible items from registered retailers or suppliers.
• Subsidy applies to eligible items shipped to or grown in eligible communities.
