Overview

Funds to strengthen commercial food production and processing, increasing local food supply in the North across agriculture, agri-food, fishing, and wild harvesting (excluding game and furbearers).

Who can apply

  • Open to commercial food producers in the NWT
  • must be registered or incorporated under applicable legislation
  • start-ups must show relevant experience and capacity (e.g., access to land, equipment, licenses, permits)
  • fishers must hold a valid commercial fishing license and vessel certificates if applicable.
