Innovative Solutions Canada – MINERVA Initiative: Uncrewed Air System for Cargo/Munition Drop

Challenge seeking an innovative uncrewed air system (UAS) able to deliver supplies and munitions without predictable trajectories or launch signatures. The solution must be simple, durable, survivable, integrate seamlessly into operations and minimize training and maintenance needs. Selected proposals proceed with the Department of National Defence.

• For-profit business incorporated in Canada (federally or provincially)
• small or medium-sized with 499 or fewer full-time equivalent employees
• R&D activities take place in Canada
• 50% or more of annual wages, salaries and fees paid to employees/contractors working mostly in Canada
• 50% or more of employees have Canada as ordinary place of work
• 50% or more of senior executives (VP and above) have Canada as principal residence
• proposed solution at technology readiness level (TRL) 5 to 9.
