Temporary Foreign Worker Program — Agriculture

When qualified Canadians or permanent residents are not available, employers can access a pool of foreign workers to hire on a temporary basis for activities in one of four streams related to primary agriculture (work done on a farm, or in a nursery or greenhouse).

• Employers in primary agriculture (work on a farm, nursery or greenhouse) who cannot find qualified Canadians or permanent residents
• hiring must fall within one of the four primary agriculture streams.
