Support for PEI job seekers who want to launch their own business. Participants may receive a weekly allowance, employment insurance (EI) benefits, or a combination of both while starting their business.

Who can apply

  • Job seekers in PEI wanting to start their own business.
  • Must submit a Return-To-Work Action Plan, a Self Employ PEI Application for Funding, a detailed business plan, and proof of investment or financing.
  • Applicants must not have started operating the proposed business before applying.
