Overview

Newcomer entrepreneurs aged 18-39 can access a flexible startup loan of up to $25,000 ($12,500 from Futurpreneur plus $12,500 from BDC) without an established credit history, along with one-on-one mentorship, resources and networking opportunities.

Who can apply

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident physically residing in Canada
  • aged 18-39 at time of application
  • has lived in Canada less than 60 months
  • limited or no established credit history in Canada
  • has required documentation
  • SIN not beginning with '9'
  • two character-based references, one from a Canadian citizen.
  • Full criteria and ineligible business list on the program website.
