Overview

Startup financing for Black entrepreneurs aged 18-39: a flexible startup loan of up to $75,000 (up to $50,000 from Futurpreneur plus up to $25,000 from BDC), with up to $40,000 in additional financing opportunities, plus two years of expert business mentoring from a team with lived experience and startup resources.

Who can apply

  • Must self-identify as Black
  • be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident physically residing in Canada
  • be aged 18-39 at time of application
  • be launching a business or operating it for less than one year.
  • If the business has two owners it must be majority Black-owned (>50%)
  • with more than two owners it must be at least 25% Black-owned.
