Overview

Wage subsidy covering up to 60% of eligible costs (maximum $20,000) for a three to nine-month full-time job placement in the bio-economy, aimed at hiring barriered youth and building a diverse, inclusive skilled workforce.

Who can apply

  • Employers must maintain an internal process for supervising and mentoring the participant, offer a full-time position for three to nine months, provide a job coach for a minimum of 2.5 hours per month, and submit progress reports upon request.
  • Placement must be in the bio-economy and target youth facing barriers to employment.
