Overview

Low-interest, repayable cash advance of up to $1 million for agricultural producers, with the federal government paying the interest on the first $250,000 (first $500,000 interest-free for canola advances in the 2025 and 2026 program years). The advance covers 50% of the expected market value of agricultural products produced or in storage for the program year.

Who can apply

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • be a corporation, cooperative or partnership
  • meet the age of majority in the province of operation
  • have produced/be producing and own the agricultural product
  • and be responsible for marketing an eligible agricultural product.
